Naila Bagh Palace
Naila Bagh Palace is a heritage property of 21000 sq.m and is conveniently located at Moti Doongri road in central Jaipur. The Palace dates from 1872. It is surrounded with sprawling gardens on all sides where you can find beautiful peacock's strutting about aimlessly. The large front courtyard provides ample
seating space for our visitors along with providing a calm and serine ambience. .
Walk through the beautiful Mahal (main hall) and get transported back to a time of beauty, history and opulence. Ornate frescos and majestic portraits of Maharajas and Princesses from the bygone era adorn the walls; colonial furniture surrounds you in majestic charm. The rooms are designed artistically such that
they retain the old world charm along with providing all modern amenities to make our guest stay comfortable.
The Naila Bagh palace is a comfortable residence while in Jaipur. The atmosphere is peaceful and stress free. The palace is centrally located and close to most sights of historical importance (ex Albert hall, Jai Garh, Narh Garh) and it is only 2 km away from the walled city.
The Proprietor Thakur Dushyant Singh Naila is an artist as well and runs an Art Gallery in the palace premise and our guests are welcome to visit the same.
In Naila Bagh palace was built in 1872 by Thakur Fateh Singh Ji. Thakur Fateh Singh Ji was the head of the Naila Family at that time. He was a multi talented personality and a taskmaster. He worked in the Jaipur state government in various roles(Mauntzim Zanani Deorhi and Bakshi Quilazat) and over the years rose in
rank and power. He was a confidant of the Jaipur ruler. In 1876 he was appointed as the Prime Minister of Jaipur. He re-organized the whole administration of the state and put things in order. When H.H Maharaja Madho Singh Ji succeeded him, he served as vice- president of the counsel until he retired. During his time,
Naila became one of the most influential estates and a political powerhouse in Jaipur state.
H H Maharaja Ram Singh Ji gave him Thikana Naila (20 km from Jaipur). Fateh Singh ji had two sons Roop Singh Ji and Guman Singh Ji. The former succeeded him as the Thakur of Naila. Thakur Roop Singh Ji served the state in important roles and was in H.H Madho Singh Ji's council. The Maharaja had great regard for him
and would consult him on all-important matters. His future generations served in important positions with the government uptill independence. The Naila men played a crucial role in the pre independence era in the day-to-day administering of the Jaipur City and in defining its future development.
Thakur Dushyant Singh Ji, direct descendent of Th Fateh Singh Ji now heads the Naila Family. He is an artist and educationist.
